Jury trials for plaintiffs suffering from asbestos related disease allowed by the Supreme Court of Queensland. On 1 September 2020 His Honour Martin J delivered reasons for dismissing the defendant’s application for an order that the trial proceed without a jury on the basis that while documents to be put into evidence are “lengthy” they will not require “prolonged examination”.
