Why the firm exists
Before starting the firm, Martin Rogalski practised at large multinational and national firms practising compensation law. Those were bigger operations, with different priorities. Rogalski Lawyers was a deliberate move away from that model.
Two commitments came out of that decision and still define how the firm runs. The solicitor-to-client ratio is kept deliberately low, so each solicitor has genuine capacity for the people on their file list. And contact is direct: clients can reach their solicitor, and their solicitor can reach them, without layers of case managers in between.
Sebastian Rogalski, Martin's brother, joined in the firm's earliest days and helped grow it into the practice it is today. He is now the firm's Special Counsel.
What the firm focuses on
Rogalski Lawyers practises compensation law, with dust disease, asbestos and silica, as its specialty. Most firms don't practise dust disease work at this level. It rewards genuine trial experience and a willingness to run a matter to judgment when that is what it takes.
General compensation work, WorkCover, public liability, CTP, TPD and medical negligence, is Queensland-based. Dust disease claims are handled nationally, since exposure histories often span more than one state.
How the firm charges
Every matter is run no win, no fee*. The firm carries the costs of running a claim, and it does not use litigation funders, so no third party takes a cut of what you recover. Terms are set out in writing before you sign anything.

Head office in Stones Corner, ten minutes from the Brisbane CBD, with parking on site. Dust disease clients are seen anywhere in Australia, and where someone is too unwell to travel, the firm travels to them.
