Rogalski Lawyers Pty Ltd (ABN 54 629 614 213) is a law practice based in Brisbane, Queensland. This policy explains how we handle personal information, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

Through the enquiry form on this website we collect only your name, telephone number, email address and the type of enquiry you select. We do not ask for medical detail through the form. If you become a client, we will collect further information necessary to act for you, which for a compensation matter will include health information.

Why we collect it

To respond to your enquiry, to assess whether we can assist, and, if you become a client, to provide legal services and meet our professional and legal obligations.

How it is stored and who can access it

Enquiries are transmitted securely and stored in our practice management system. Access is limited to staff who need it to respond to you or act on your matter.

Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only where necessary to act on your matter (for example to medical experts, courts, insurers or counsel, with your instructions), where required by law, or to service providers who host our systems under confidentiality obligations.

Health information

Compensation matters necessarily involve health information, which is sensitive information under the Privacy Act. We collect it only with your consent or where the law permits, use it only for your matter, and store it accordingly.
